A healthier bottom line.

The challenge
Non-communicable disease is Botswana’s fastest-growing cost centre
46%
of all deaths in Botswana each year are caused by non-communicable disease — against a high background prevalence of HIV, and an economic climate straining the supply of diagnostics and chronic medication.World Health Organization, 2019
Rising healthcare costs
Chronic disease management drives medical scheme claims and employer contributions upward year after year.
Lost productivity
Absenteeism, presenteeism and disability claims compound quietly across the payroll.
Premature illness at work
Cardiometabolic disease is striking working-age employees, destabilising teams and retention.
And most wellness programmes don’t touch it
Screening days and gym subsidies are reactive and disconnected, with little ability to quantify outcomes. They do not address the root causes of chronic disease — yet 80% of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes is preventable.

What Pivio is
Lifestyle medicine, delivered inside the workplace
Pivio is a workplace health programme designed to improve employee health, reduce healthcare costs and lift productivity by preventing and reversing chronic disease — not simply managing it.
Employees work through structured, evidence-based change in how they eat, move, sleep and manage stress, guided by certified health coaches. The result is measurable clinical improvement and, for many participants, less reliance on medication.
Wild Health Consulting is the first and only provider of Pivio in Africa, adapting the programme to the realities of Southern African workforces.
